Idols Aside Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry that has been serving Central Florida since 2009 and expanded to Western Kentucky in 2017. Our mission is to establish strong relationships, provide continual discipleship and guidance while modeling Christ through sports camps, hunting retreats and educating, encouraging and empowering the body of Christ to reach the fatherless through whatever platform/passion God has entrusted to them.
The LoBo Ranch is a non-profit community of child advocates combining our unique gifts and talents to serve sibling groups in foster care in the Polk, Highlands and Hardee County communities in the name of Jesus Christ.
LoBo Ranch is in need of hygiene kits for kids to be able to get ready in the morning, like a full-size toothbrush, comb, and deodorant. They are asking for gallon bags full of items that they can hand directly to a child. They are also looking for art work that your child would want to submit to their art show. Any age is welcome to submit a piece of art. Please drop off hygiene kits and artwork to the church office, or to Melissa Lobozzo.
Parker Street Ministries is committed to Gospel-centered community development beginning in Lakeland’s Parker Street neighborhood. We seek to join God’s transformation of our neighborhood through living and working in the neighborhood, through proven programs, and through leading others in this good work.
A Woman’s Choice, A Woman’s Choice, established in October 1986, began serving Lakeland and its surrounding communities in 1987. We are staffed by volunteers and a small operational staff, and we rely completely on donations from the community for support
A Women’s Choice is in need of gift card donations for women who are in need. They are looking for gift cards from Walmart, Publix, Target, and from Gas Stations. Please drop off gift cards at the Welcome Center on Sundays, and at the Church Office during the week.
Moving Hope brings food and other resources to impoverished neighborhoods in Lakeland and the surrounding areas of Polk County. Beyond the support that St Paul provides throughout the year to Moving Hope through drives and donations, there are many opportunities to help with Moving Hope's ministry to our community. God has blessed us with wonderful and talented video, sound and camera technicians who have stepped up to the plate in making our worship services come together. We have stretched as a church to add new skills and really stepped up in some big ways.
Even now, we are planning for how we can best continue to present online when people start returning in person. If you're interested in working on the technical teams, please let Ken Sherman know. We would love the opportunity to train and equip more hands for this work. firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to make St. Paul Lutheran your church home, we would love to meet you.

St. Paul’s commitment to our church families, school families and to our Lakeland community has led to an event series on Parenting Together with Christian Counselor, Dr. Shanon Roberts. Dr. Roberts will lead this church sponsored event series with real and practical insight on the differentiation of “Adult Centered Homes” vs. “Child Centered Homes”. Dr. Roberts will offer simple tools and strategies to apply to parenting with the common goal to serve God and others in our St. Paul Community. We will be offering each event in this series completely FREE. The event series will take place here at St. Paul and childcare will be provided at no cost. Please join us on September 24th, October 22nd, and November 12th. Childcare will be offered from 6:15pm-9:30pm, dinner included, in the Fellowship Center. Adults will meet together with Dr. Roberts in the church sanctuary from 6:30pm-7:30pm and then will have the opportunity to go to dinner, run some errands and just enjoy some kid-free time until 9:30pm. Registration is required.
As always, the most important resource we have to offer here at St. Paul is the loving care and community of the body of Christ. If you would like for us to regularly call and check in on you, please contact Becky Howell.
